Local Voices Nigeria: Call for interest!
Would you like to show the world what Nigeria is REALLY like?
Here’s a perfect opportunity to do so – it’s totally free and easy to participate.
Showcase the real Nigeria to the world
C4urselves is a digital platform that’s all about capturing and sharing authentic experiences of the world as it really is.
Through our Local Voices project, we want to showcase different parts of the world to a genuinely global audience, as captured by the people who live there.
We want to harness the power of the internet to share an experience of what it’s really like to walk in your shoes. To tell your story of the Nigeria that you know, and the Nigeria that you want people to see, appreciate, and understand.
We want to build a simple but compelling collection of photos and videos capable of telling the story that you want to tell the world of the place you call home.
Share your photos and videos!
It’s totally free and easy to participate. All you need is a smart phone or hand-held digital device, and a little bit of time to go out and get footage.
Last year we ran a pilot project in Kigali, Rwanda: www.c4urselves.com/pages/voices-rwanda.html
This year, we want to do the same for Nigeria – but bigger.
We won’t share your details with anyone else, and we won’t send you any spam. All content creators will be recognised on the webpage that we’re going to create on C4urselves.
I’m interested – how do I get involved?
Please sign up for a virtual introductory workshop on Monday 26 June, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, where we’ll explain more about the project, and what we’re asking participants to do: Local voices Nigeria Workshop Tickets, Mon 26 Jun 2023 at 15:00 | Eventbrite
Attendance is on a first-come-first-served basis. If we exceed capacity for the workshop, we will record the session and make it available to anyone else who would like to take part, but was unable to attend.
There will be a second workshop a few weeks afterwards, to share the photos and videos that everyone has captured, and discuss the “story” which they tell of Nigeria today.
Aside from that, it’s all up to you!
Help us create a different, engaging and uniquely powerful visual story of the real Nigeria, in all its aspects, to share with the rest of the world. And get your voice heard.
