Unveiling the 10th Africa DNS Forum.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is pleased to announce that the 10th annual Africa Domain Name System (DNS) Forum will take place 5–6 October 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme of “Attaining Inclusivity and Diversity in the DNS Ecosystem in Africa.”
This year’s forum is hosted by KeNIC, the registry operator for the .ke country code top-level domain (ccTLD), which marks its 20th anniversary on 6 October 2022. Moreover, as KeNIC marks this milestone, it will host the national Kenya DNS Forum on 4 October 2022, ahead of the Africa DNS Forum. The hybrid events bring together individuals and organizations interested in the domain industry: ccTLD registries, registrars, resellers, registrants, network operators, Internet service providers, government representatives, financial institutions, civil society, academia, and others. The Africa DNS Forum will feature dynamic discussions on the evolution of the domain name industry in Africa, strengthening collaboration among stakeholders, and evaluating the risks to the industry, among other topics.
The Africa DNS Forum is organized by the Africa Registrar Association (AfRegistrar), the Africa Top-Level Domains Organization (AfTLD), and ICANN.
