LOS ANGELES — July 21, 2026 — The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced today that applications are now open for the ICANN88 Community Forum Fellowship Program. The upcoming forum is scheduled to take place from March 13 to 18, 2027, in Lisbon, Portugal, with a virtual format planned should in-person assembly not be possible.
Interested candidates have until August 21, 2026, at 23:59 UTC to submit their applications. Successful applicants will be officially announced on November 10, 2026, via the ICANN website.
Fostering Global Inclusivity
The ICANN Fellowship Program aims to strengthen representation within ICANN’s multistakeholder governance model. By assisting individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities worldwide, the program ensures diverse perspectives contribute directly to global Internet governance.
Applicants engaged or interested in key areas of ICANN’s mandate—such as policy development, Domain Name System (DNS) operations, and Internet security and stability—are encouraged to apply.
