Empowering Africa’s Digital Future: Call for Regional Coordinators for the CN Digital Access Coalition (DAC).

The digital divide remains one of the most significant barriers to socio-economic development across the African continent. To bridge this gap, the CN Digital Access Coalition (DAC) is officially launching a call for Regional Coordinators to spearhead impactful digital inclusion initiatives.

This is a strategic invitation for organized partners and collaborators to take a leading role in shaping the digital landscape of their respective regions.

The Mission of the DAC Project

The DAC project is dedicated to expanding affordable, sustainable, and high-quality internet access to underserved communities. By leveraging local expertise and regional influence, the coalition aims to foster an environment where digital literacy, infrastructure, and policy alignment meet to create lasting change.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking applications from two primary categories of stakeholders who possess the local presence and operational capacity to drive the DAC mission:

1. Partners (Civil Society & NGOs)

We invite non-governmental organizations and non-profits with a proven track record in community development, digital advocacy, or technology education. Partners will be responsible for grassroots engagement and ensuring that digital access reaches the most vulnerable populations.

2. Collaborations (Government & Private Sector)

We are looking for strategic collaborations with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). These collaborators will focus on policy advocacy, infrastructure scalability, and technical implementation to ensure the sustainability of the digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities of Regional Coordinators

As a Regional Coordinator, your organization will serve as the focal point for DAC activities in your area. Key responsibilities include:

  • Stakeholder Mapping: Identifying and mobilizing local actors to join the coalition.
  • Project Oversight: Managing the implementation of DAC digital access initiatives.
  • Advocacy: Working with local authorities to streamline policies that favor digital growth.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Reporting on progress and the socio-economic impact of connectivity within the region.

How to Apply

If your organization is ready to lead the charge for a digitally inclusive Africa, we want to hear from you.

Interested entities should submit a statement of interest and an organizational profile detailing their experience in the digital or development sector.
