ICANN’s 2025 Nominating Committee Announces Leadership Selections.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) 2025 Nominating Committee (NomCom) has announced its leadership selections for 10 key positions, with the new terms set to begin at the conclusion of the ICANN84 Annual General Meeting in October 2025.

The selections, made from 106 completed applications received between January and March 2025, reflect ICANN’s commitment to diverse leadership across geography, culture, skills, and experience.

Key Selections

The committee named new members for several critical ICANN bodies:

  • ICANN Board of Directors: Sajid Rahman (Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands), Constance Bommelaer de Leusse (Europe), and Raúl Echeberría (Latin America and the Caribbean).
  • Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) Board of Directors: Lise Fuhr (Europe) was selected.
  • At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC): Selections include Adebunmi Akinbo (Africa), Aftab Siddiqui (Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands), and Hannah Frank (Latin America and the Caribbean).
  • Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Council: Olga Cavalli (Latin America and the Caribbean) was selected.
  • Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council: Christian Dawson (North America, Non-Contracted Parties House) and Gaurav Vedi (North America, Contracted Parties House) were selected.

The Nominating Committee’s mandate is to ensure ICANN’s leadership maintains a high standard of integrity, objectivity, and sound judgment. These selections are expected to further the organization’s mission of ensuring a secure, stable, and interoperable internet for all.
