NiRA Celebrates Digital Excellence at the 7th .ng Awards.
Lagos, Nigeria – The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) recently hosted the 7th .ng Awards, a prestigious event that honors outstanding individuals and organizations driving Nigeria’s digital landscape. The event, held at the prestigious Muson Center Onikan, recognized excellence and innovation across various sectors, including technology, government, and individuals.
Themed “The Innovators of 2024,” the 7th .ng Awards aimed to spotlight digital innovation within the .ng domain. The event served as a platform to recognize exceptional achievements, promote the .ng brand, and contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s internet space.
Key Highlights of the Event:
- Tech Convergence 1.0 Conference: A two-day conference featuring insightful discussions on emerging technologies, digital trends, and the role of the .ng domain in shaping Nigeria’s digital future.
- Fireside Chat with Olatunbosun Alake: The Commissioner of Innovation, Science and Technology, Lagos State, emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in driving digital growth and highlighted Lagos State’s commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of its citizens.
- Award Ceremony: A glamorous event recognizing outstanding achievements in various categories.
NiRA Presidential Awards were also presented to individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to Nigeria’s internet space, including Mrs. Eyitayo Iyortim, President AfTLD, Gbenga Sesan of Paradigm Initiative, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani of Digital Realty, Mrs. Ibukun Odusote, Chairperson of the NiRA Board of Trustees, and the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN).
