Ebène, Mauritius – June 18, 2025 – The election for the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) is officially back on track. Today, June 18, 2025, the Supreme Court set aside an interim injunction that had temporarily halted both e-voting and in-person voting scheduled for the Board election. The injunction was originally granted on June 13, 2025.
This decision clears the way for the election process to resume immediately, as announced by the Election Committee.
Here’s how AFRINIC members can participate:
E-Voting: Electronic voting commences today, June 18, 2025. All eligible e-voters will receive detailed instructions in their registered email inboxes on how to cast their votes.
In-Person Voting: For members preferring to vote in person, a polling station will be open on Monday, June 23, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The voting will take place at the Hennessy Park Hotel, located at 65 Ebene Cybercity, Ebène, Mauritius. The polling station is specifically situated on the first floor in “Cyber 2,” accessible directly from the hotel reception.
For those planning to vote in person, a location map to the venue is available at: https://ninetysixhotels.com/hennessy-park-hotel-eben-cybercity-mauritius.html
The Election Committee encourages all members to participate actively in this crucial election for the reconstitution of the AFRINIC Board of Directors.
